Karaoke pitch trainer
Singing whole songs is where you find out if you're really in tune. In this karaoke a piano guide plays, the notes fall as bars, and you sing each one on time. At the end you get your pitch accuracy score.
How it works
- Plug in headphones and turn them on in Settings, so you hear the guide while the mic only picks up your voice.
- Pick a song. For now there are well-known melodies like "Twinkle Twinkle" and "Ode to Joy".
- After the count-in, follow the falling bars and sing each note in tune and on time.
- At the end you see your pitch accuracy for the song.
It fits your voice
The melody moves to the octave that suits your range, depending on whether you pick a Male or Female voice in Settings. And singing the right note in another octave still counts as in tune, so nobody loses points for having a lower or higher voice than the original.
From exercises to songs
Single exercises train notes and intervals; karaoke puts it all together with rhythm and a real melody. If a phrase gives you trouble, go back to the vocal pitch monitor to work on those notes slowly, then come back.
Frequently asked questions
Why do I need headphones?
If the piano plays through your speakers, the mic picks it up along with your voice and your pitch can’t be measured properly.
Can I sing my own songs?
Not yet; for now the karaoke comes with melodies prepared for practice.
Is my voice recorded?
No. The microphone audio is analyzed inside your browser to detect the note, and it is never recorded or sent to any server.
